This virgin cocktail dates back to the 1920's and the Prohibition era. It's named after William E. "Pussyfoot" Johnson, an anti-liquor campaigner who fought against the legalization of alcohol, arguing that liquor was evil. However, what you do in the dark always comes to light. In 1926 "Pussyfoot" openly admitted that in the pursuit of his cause, he consumed "gallons of alcohol" to give him the strength to keep going.
