If you like your cocktails fruity, easy to drink, with zero challenge on the palate then Sex On The Beach should be perfect for you. Now let's get into this name. Where did it come from? Well, there once was a bartender named Ted who worked at a bar called Confetti’s in Florida. Ted created the cocktail and named it Sex On The Beach because he thought it highlighted the two main reasons most of their customers ended up in their Florida bar. Gotta love those spring breakers!
It's no surprise this cocktail took flight but it became even more popular after Tom Cruise starred in the classic film, Cocktail. His legendary poem, "The Last Barman" references this fruity cocktail while he stands on a bar with patrons cheering him on.
This cocktail is simple to make. It’s simply vodka, peach schnapps, and equal parts orange and cranberry juices. There are no hidden or complicated flavor profiles here…just vodka and fruit juice. Watch out though, it can be a creeper.
